Relics is a series of kinetic wooden sculptures made from reclaimed wood and found objects. Each piece explores the histories embedded in materials and how they directly inform the shape of each work. I’m drawn to the marks and imperfections that materials accumulate over time, and the stories they tell.
Through gears and mechanical movement, the sculptures examine the interplay between memory and imagination, remembering and forgetting. The past is neither fixed nor lost, but continually reimagined.
